I am a practitioner with a unique perspective having a background ranging from business to mental health. Counseling and psychotherapy are ‘teamwork’ approaches to problem solving that should be as unique as the persons seeking help.
In addition to having a Ph.D. from NYU, and being a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am also a board certified diplomat (BCD) and certified sex therapist (CST). Since 2009, it has been my honor to teach as an Adjunct Professor in the SUNY Stony Brook School of Social Welfare’s M.S.W. program. As a seasoned lecturer, I have provided workshops and educational programs for many Long Island based organizations.
My practice has been featured in The New York Times & Newsday, and on HBO, Lifetime, Oxygen, local TV and the Geraldo Show.
Specialties: While I have a diverse background ranging from mental health treatment to supervision, I have extensive expertise in the following areas: couples/relationship problems, eating disorders, sexual issues/dysfunctions, personality disorders, conflict resolution, GLBT issues, parenting adolescents, executive coaching.
